Sorry, I posted this on both my blogs, if anyone is reading one or the other. Speaking of which, for some reason I wrote that I had two fashion blogs on my resume and when I first moved to Brooklyn, New York I dropped off a resume at Brooklyn Industries (basically a very, very middle of the road retail chainlet that sells t-shirts with screen-printed bikes and other stuff very slightly too edgy for the Gap) because I was desperate and the manager read the resume and she was like, "Two fashion blogs?" And I was like "God I am such a moron like that is going to impress someone." True story!

60's-70's Labels

The top label is from a cute, 60's kid's knit striped t-shirt, the bottom from groovy 70's jeanswear brand Landlubber (maker of the trashiest onesie ever that I tragically lost on eBay.) I LOVE finding an amazing label in vintage garments. They sure beat the labels today, and are often rooted in a particular place, as opposed to being mass-produced in a foreign country. I love how you can travel and vintage shop and take home something that was manufactured there.

1960's Children's Dress

I was so sad this dress was child-sized (even though I don't like the way i look in the straight-up-and-down fit of 60's clothing.) I love how this novelty print chronicles 60's hairstyles.

This looks too risque and mod to be straightup 50's, so I think it is early 60's. I have many photos of vintage bathing suits. To think everyone at the beach was dressed like Gidget instead of falling out of some fugly bikini! Not that this isn't pretty trashy looking! And I believe it was child-sized, though I could be wrong.
