Lace Cropped Jacket

I think the auction said that the lace was made out of something like straw, maybe in the Philippines? It has a King and I type feel. Lace is one of those things I never would have appreciated as a teenager, but the textures and crazy, intricate designs are definitely worth a second look.

I picture this with rolled up jeans and pincurls, very late 40's/early 50's. Vintage is thought of as being very gendered, but a lot of what young women wore was kind of butch, especially the casual clothes.
